Our history

The CONGEO Professional Association was founded in 1989 by its two founding members, and its name signifies “Geological Consulting”. The two met three years earlier at a company in Rome where they worked on in-situ and laboratory geotechnics and geocartography.
In 1991, the association was enriched with a third member dedicated to geotechnical laboratory activities.
CONGEO began acquiring its own instruments and equipment in the field of geophysics and in-situ geotechnics.
In 1999, the CONGEO Professional Association evolved into CONGEO snc, acquiring the geotechnical laboratory and expanding with additional equipment for the laboratory, in-situ geotechnics, and geophysics.
In the early years of the new millennium, CONGEO also carried out significant geological studies and surveys for large public and private administrations.
In 2006, the company grew to incorporate new expertise, mainly in the realm of geophysics but also, maintaining an innovative spirit, geotechnics, GIS systems, and computer science.
CNG S.r.l., founded in 2010 from the desire for growth of the members of CONGEO, represents the further evolution of a company working under ISO 9001 since 2011, with a geotechnical laboratory authorised by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport since 2012.
Today, CNG continues to grow, constantly enriching itself in terms of skill, experience and equipment, keen to continue to be worthy of the ongoing trust of its clientele.
